A Springfield man was killed and a Springfield woman injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:20 p.m. Saturday on MO 266 two miles south of Bois D'Arc.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Loren E. Crowder, 75, Springfield, went off the right side of the road, overturned, went airborne and struck a utility pole.
Dr. Simpson at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, pronounced Crowder dead at 3:50 p.m,.
A passenger, Kathryn L. Crowder, 63, Springfield, was treated for serious injuries at Cox South.
The fatality was the 59th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
