A Seymour baby was killed in a collision 5:05 p.m. Tuesday on C Highway two miles north of Seymour.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Mercedes 320 driven by Julia M. Young, 38, Seymour, struck the rear of an Amish buggy driven by Sammy W. Schwartz, 23, Seymour, while passing it. All of the occupants of the buggy were ejected.
Dr. Kyle Fink pronounced a passenger in the buggy, a male baby, dead at 7:55 p.m. at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
Schwartz and another passenger, Barbara Schwartz, 24, Seymour, were treated for moderate injuries at Cox.
The fatality was the 52nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
