(From the Cassville Police Department)On Saturday, June 03, 2023, at approximately 8:34pm, the Cassville Police Department was dispatched to a call of a person in imminent danger.
The caller, a juvenile male, indicated that one person had been stabbed and the suspect had chased him from the scene with a knife. The juvenile said a passerby picked him up and drove him to the Sheriff’s Office.
The incident reportedly occurred at Miller Storage, located at 1200 Old Highway 37 in Cassville.
Upon arrival Officers located the body of an adult male with apparent wounds to the upper torso. The male was found to be deceased. Officers on scene were able to identify and arrest a suspect near the scene. Detectives were notified and responded to work the scene.
The deceased person has been identified as 40-year-old, Andey Hunter of Exeter Missouri.
Arrested was 30-year-old, Richard Randolph of Cassville, Missouri. Randolph remains in custody of the Barry County Jail with no bond on Charges of Murder 2nd Degree and armed criminal action.
There is no further danger to the public and no other suspects are being sought at this time.
