Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:20 p.m. today on Farm Road 1040 three miles west of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Brooke D. Yahner, 19, Monett, pulled into the path of a 2012 Mazda 6 driven by Cruz M. Charles-Johnson, 22, Monett. The vehicles collided head on.
Yahner and two passengers in her vehicle, Caylah Meredith, 18, Monett and a baby girl from Pierce City, were treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
Charles-Johnson and a passenger in his vehicle, a 1-year-old girl were also treated for moderate injuries at Cox South.
