According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Harley Davidson Breakout motorcycle driven by Rylan L. Wilson, 19, Cassville, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, ejecting both occupants.
The passenger, a 14-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:40 p.m. by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearengin.
Dr. Robert Johnson at Mercy Springfield pronounced Wilson dead at 10:09 p.m.
The fatalities were the 42nd and 43rd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
