Six Central High School seniors are among approximately 16,000 semifinalists selected for the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Semifinalists are Alexander Baker, Julia Horton, Sasidhar Karuparti, Jenna Kohls, Gabriel Ting and Rafael Xu. CHS also has five students who received Commended status for scoring in the top 5 percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition. CHS Commended students are Sean Burke, Halena Hadi, Benjamin Moore, Sophia Scott and Anna Skalicky.
