OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY THIS EVENING
  WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES RANGING FROM 96 TO 104 DEGREES.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTH
  CENTRAL MISSOURI WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. MOST LOCATIONS SHOULD
  REMAIN DRY AND NO SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

  PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO OCCUR AT
  TIMES FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING AS A COLD
  FRONT MOVES TOWARDS AND THROUGH THE REGION. STORM TOTAL
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH THE HIGHEST
  AMOUNTS EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR.
  THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FALL LATER FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY
  NIGHT...WHEN A LOCALIZED FLOODING RISK WILL OCCUR GENERALLY
  ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR. THE RISK FOR
  STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT WILL ALSO
  OCCUR AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE 96 TO 104 DEGREE RANGE WILL
  OCCUR ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AGAIN
  ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
