A Springfield man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 1:07 p.m. today at Highway 160, four miles west of Willard.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Jeffrey D. Walls, 48, Springfield, traveled off the road, struck a fence and a tree. Walls was pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Medical Examiner David Brown.
The fatality was the 38th for Troop D in 2014.
