Do you know someone who gives their time to make the Ozarks a better place to live? The City of Springfield and the Council of Churches of the Ozarks encourage you to nominate this person for a Gift of Time award.
Every day across the Ozarks, hundreds of volunteers lend their time to nonprofit, public and human-service organizations. Since 1991, the Gift of Time Awards Luncheon has recognized volunteers who contribute thousands of hours to make life better for their neighbors.
An impartial team of business and civic leaders will review each nominee and select 10 people as Volunteers of the Year. The honorees will be recognized at a luncheon June 24 at the Ramada Oasis Convention Center.
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., Saturday May 31. Please visit www.springfieldmo.gov/giftoftime to submit your nomination.
