A Fair Grove teen was killed in a one-car accident 4:09 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 193, one mile west of Fair Grove.
According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a a 2005 Lincoln LS driven by Samuel D. Stafford, 16, traveling at a high rate of speed, ran off the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.
Stafford was pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Medical Examiner Tom Vandeberg.
The fatality was the 34th this year for Troop D.
