Ozark driver ends up in creek; now she's up the creek

An Ozark woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated as a prior offender following an accident 11:45 p.m. Sunday on Route W, six miles north of Marshfield in which her car ended up in a creek.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Ford Expedition driven by Andrea L. Bench, 32, Ozark, crossed the center line on a curve, traveled off the roadway, struck a bridge, and landed in a creek.

Bench was taken to Cox South Hospital with moderate injuries.

In addition to DWI, Bench was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to register motor vehicle, no insurance, and careless and imprudent driving.
