Contract awarded for Lamar license fee office

The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Lamar License Office to Joyce E. Moser in Lamar. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.

Moser has been the contractor of the Lamar License Office since 2005. The Lamar License Office will remain at its current location at 208 W. 12th St., Suite 7.  

In fiscal year 2013, more than 24,500 transactions were conducted at the Lamar office, generating $82,171 in agent processing fees. Moser's contract includes an annual commitment to return 1 percent (approximately $821) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
