Springfield City Council to approve collective bargaining agreement in special session

SPECIAL SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL MEETING

1. ROLL CALL.

2. EMERGENCY BILLS Council Bill 2017-189. (McClure) Approving the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between The City of Springfield, Missouri, and the Bargaining Unit of the Springfield Police Officers’ Association, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 22, by authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to acknowledge and deliver the Collective Bargaining Agreement on behalf of the City of Springfield, Missouri, to the Bargaining Unit, and declaring an emergency. Council Bill 2017-190. (McClure) Amending Chapter 2, Section 2-92 of the Springfield City Code, known as the Salary Ordinance relating to salary grades for various job titles within the City service, by providing pay adjustments for certain union employees contained in the Fire Protection Schedule (FPS) pay schedule, and by declaring an emergency.

3. ADJOURN TO CITY COUNCIL LUNCH AND RECONVENE FOR CLOSED SESSION AT THE CONCLUSION OF CITY COUNCIL LUNCH

4. CLOSED SESSION City Council will hold a closed meeting to discuss legal actions, causes of action or litigation involving a public governmental body and any confidential or privileged communications between a public governmental body or its representatives and its attorneys pursuant to Section 610.021(1), RSMo.; and this meeting, record, and vote shall be closed and the City Council shall stand adjourned at the end of the closed session.
