A Louisiana man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:10 a.m. today on Farm Road 106, one mile west of Springfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Ford F150 driven by Felix R. Carballo, 26, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, traveling at an excessive rate of speed, traveled partially into the right ditch, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking mailboxes, a fence, and a tree.
Carballo was treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
