A Pierce City man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:50 a.m. today on MO 97, five miles southwest of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Kawasaki KL250 motorcycle driven by Darren Essary, 37, Pierce City, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Essary was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
