A Mount Vernon teen was killed and a Greenfield teen injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:25 a.m. Wednesday on Route UU just north of Phelps.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 International LF687 driven by a 16-year-old Mount Vernon boy traveled off the roadway and overturned.
Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin pronounced the driver dead at the scene at 10:44 a.m.
A passenger, a 14-year-old Greenfield boy, was flown to Mercy Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
