A Halltown man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that was discovered 8:10 a.m. today on Route O, two miles south of Halltown.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Honda Goldwing Trike driven by Edward D. Griffin, 72, Halltown, traveled off the left side of the road, struck the ditch and overturned. The report indicates it is not certain when the accident took place.
Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin at 8:40 a.m.
The fatality was the 77th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
