A Billings man was killed in a two-vehicle collision 2:01 p.m. Friday on Route N, one mile north of Republic.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1986 Ford Ranger driven by Thomas R. McPhetridge, 59, Billings, failed to stop for a stop sign and struck the driver's side of a 2012 Hyundai Veloster driven by Kasey S. Belasco, 42, Springfield.
The McPhetridge vehicle overturned off the roadway ejecting McPhetridge. Greene County Medical Examiner Thomas Van De Berg pronounced McPhetridge dead at the scene.
Belasco was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Springfield.
The fatality was the 78th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
