Five people injured in near head-on collision at Branson city limits

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Fall Creek Road at Shady Drive at the Branson city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol arrest, a 2017 Mazda CX-9 driven by Paul L. Owings, 82, Branson, failed to stop at a stop sign, made a right turn and struck a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk driven by Valerie M. Riley, 53, Barnsdall, Oklahoma.








Owings was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield.

Riley and two passengers, Miranda R. Reeder, 27, Ronald G. Riley, 59, both of Barnsdall, were treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital.

Another passenger in the Riley vehicle, a 2-year-old boy, was treated for minor injuries at Cox South.
