One killed, two airlifted to Mercy Springfield after head-on crash on 86

One person was killed and two seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash 4 p.m. Friday on MO 86, four miles west of Carr Lane in Barry County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Ford F-350 driven by Steven L. Fare, 59, Golden, crossed the center line and struck a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by John K. Rash, 58, Fayetteville, Arkansas, head on.

Emergency medical technician Scott Jenkins pronounced Rash dead at the scene at 5:20 p.m.





A passenger in the Rash vehicle, Imelda C. Rash, 63, Fayetteville, and Fare were airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.

The fatality was the seventh this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
