Shell Knob man charged with felony DWI, airlifted to Cox South after three-vehicle accident on 39

A Shell Knob man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a three-vehicle accident 2:20 p.m. Sunday on MO 39, five miles south of Aurora.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Shaun A. Flygare, 36, Shell Knob, crossed the center line and struck a 2015 Toyota 4Runner driven by Sherry M. Deetz, 58, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and a 2012 Ford F-150 driven by Cody R. Williams, 34, Republic.

Flygare, who was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries, was also cited for careless and imprudent driving involving a crash and for not wearing a seat belt.
