...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
  following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and
  Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade,
  Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone,
  Taney, and Vernon.

* Through this evening








* Heavy rainfall rates will be possible through this evening
  across southeast Kansas the Missouri Ozarks as rain continues
  this morning and a cold front moves through the region today.
  Rainfall amounts through today of one to three inches are
  expected with locally higher amounts possible. This rainfall
  will fall on already saturated soils, with flooding on going for
  mos the the area.

* Low lying areas and areas near rivers, creeks and streams will
  likely become flooded at times. The additional rainfall will
  exacerbate ongoing flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
