Investigation continues into discovery of remains of Springfield man missing for seven years

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into the discovery of human remains that were found on 03/26/2018, south of Jenkins MO.

According to Detective Doug Henry, the body has been identified as Ronald Jessup Brightwell, age 35 of Springfield MO.

The Sheriff’s Office is now specifically seeking information from anyone who may have had any contact with Mr. Brightwell prior to his disappearance in 2012, whether in‐person, by phone, text, or social media.
