Greenfield woman flown to Cox South after deer causes crash on 215

A Greenfield woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:20 a.m. Sunday on MO 215, two miles south of Stockton.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1971 Chevrolet pickup driven by Josie S. Howard, 30, Greenfield, swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, crossed the center line and traveled off the left side of the roadway, crashing into a tree.

Howard was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
