(From the Springfield Police Department)On August 6, 2023, at 3:24 a.m., the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a person shot at the business located at 318 N. Kansas Expressway. Officers found two male victims with gunshot wounds.
The first victim was treated at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
The second victim, Larry McCoo, 35, from Springfield, was transported to a local hospital where he later died. McCoo’s family has been notified.
A suspect has not been identified at this time.

This is Springfield’s 12th homicide investigation in 2023.
