(From the Mount Vernon Police Department)On 08/10/2023 MVPD Officer was flagged down by an employee of Casey's gas station in reference to someone passed out on the side of the business.
Upon the officer attempting to wake up the subject, a gun was located in the waist band of the male subject. While investigating, it was determined the gun was stolen. The male was placed under arrest. All subjects are innocent until proven guilt
Officers wake up every day and go to work not knowing if they will get to go home. Mount Vernon Police Department is determined to keep our community safe.
