(From the Springfield Police Department)On August 1, 2023, at 12:48 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Grant and Kearney.
Ryan Brinkman, 35, of Springfield, was driving a 2011 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle eastbound on Kearney, just west of Grant. As Brinkman entered the intersection, a westbound white 2010 Nissan Rogue, driven by Melelini McIntyre, 36, of Springfield, entered the intersection. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
Brinkman was transported to the hospital where he later died. Brinkman’s family has been notified.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
