According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Jessie L. Ray, 59, Aurora, failed to yield to a 2003 Harley Davidson driven by Ronald D. Wallace, 60, Bolivar, ejecting all occupants of both vehicles.
Ray was pronounced dead at the scene. Wallace died 4:09 a.m. today Mercy Springfield.
A passenger on the Ray vehicle, Jean A. Ray, 42, was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
The fatalities were the 95th and 96th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
