Springfield man arrested for DWI after crash that seriously injured pedestrian

 A Springfield man was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated following a three-vehicle accident, in which a pedestrian was injured.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Hyundai Sonata driven by Collin J. Powell, 26, Springfield, struck a parked 1997 Ford Ranger causing it to hit Thomas E. Murph, 62, Springfield, and a parked 2009 Toyota Tundra.








Murph was treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

In addition to DWI, Powell was cited for careless and imprudent driving, no valid plates, no insurance Taney and Webster County traffic violations.
