According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2022 Regency Tri-Toon driven by Christopher M. Johnson, 62, O'Fallon, struck two swimmers, a 15-year-old O'Fallon girl and a 16-year-old Ballwin boy and then struck a rock bluff.
Taney County Coronoer Tony Mullen pronounced the girl dead at the scene.
The boy was treated for minor injuries at Cox Hospital, Branson.
The death was the fourth boating fatality this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
