A Peoria, Arizona woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident 5:09 p.m. Saturday on I-44, three miles north of Republic.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Laura L. Sims, 56, Peoria, traveled off the right side of the road, struck a rock embankment and overturned several times.
Greene County Deputy Coroner Buddy Pilfore pronounced Sims dead at the scene at 5:29 p.m.
The fatality was the 60th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
