Clever woman killed in collision on 160

A Clever woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision 6:14 p.m. Monday on U. S. 160, three miles south of Highlandville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Sarah A. Marshall, 68, Clever, pulled into the path of a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Kimberly L. Adams, 58, Highlandville.

The Adams vehicle struck the side of the Marshall vehicle.








Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Jennifer Kimball at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at 7:03 p.m.

Adams was treated for minor injuries and a passenger in her vehicle, Derek J. Mullen, 29, Highlandville, for moderate injuries at Cox South.

The fatality was the 65th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
