Springfield police officer named Officer of the Year by Rotary Club

The Springfield Police Department is proud to announce that on Thursday, June 6, 2019, Officer Anthony Cendejas was awarded "Officer of the Year" by Rotary Club of Springfield - Southeast for his outstanding community service.

Officer Cendejas has been with SPD since 2017. In his short time with the department, he has displayed an exceptional work ethic, demonstrated his commitment to the law enforcement profession and has been proactive in his efforts to combat crime in our community. 

"He is very deserving of this award and the Springfield Police Department is proud to call him one of our own," said Major Greg Higdon.
