Comprehensive Plan Workshop City Council & Planning and Zoning Commission

The Springfield City Charter grants the Planning and Zoning Commission the power to prepare and recommend to City Council a Master (Comprehensive) Plan. It is important that City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission have the opportunity to communicate and discuss the issues and concerns they wish addressed in the comprehensive plan with the planning team, as well as each other, at the very on-set of the process.

This meeting will provide the initial dialogue needed to inform the team’s approach to the planning process and ensure that issues important to both parties are identified on the front end.
