Assistant City Attorney V Jan Millington has been promoted to the role of Deputy City Attorney, effective immediately.
Millington has worked for the City since 2007, focusing primarily on environmental issues with the departments of Public Works and Environmental Services. She will continue to serve Environmental Services in her new role. Millington received her law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Prior to joining the City, she was a partner with the law firm of Hall, Ansley, Rodgers and Condry, an associate with two other law firms in Springfield and a law clerk at two law firms and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals in Oklahoma City.
She received her bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy and served as a registered occupational therapist at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City for two years. Millington is a graduate of Glendale High School and has served on the advisory board for The Salvation Army since 2010 and as board chairman since 2017.
"I am honored to be appointed Deputy City Attorney and to support City Attorney Rhonda Lewsader, in her role of providing quality legal support to the City Council," Millington said.
