Federal grand jury indicts Springfield man on child pornography charges

A federal grand jury indicted a Springfield man on charges of receiving and distributing child pornography.

The indictment indicates Ted B. Gifford, 56, allegedly committed the crimes between June 1, 2018, and November 26, 2018.

Gifford's initial appearance was held this afternoon in federal court in Springfield. His next hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday.

Gifford is being held in the Greene County Jail.
