Five people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 2:33 p.m. today on U. S. 60 in Republic.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Cherolet HHR driven by Carla A. Smith, 43, Seymour, was attempting to travel north from Harrison Street and cross east and westbound lanes of U. S. 60 when it struck a westbound 2003 Honda Pilot driven by Dustin R. Orman, 32, Republic, knocking the Orman vehicle into the path of an eastbound 2995 Kenworth W900 driven by Johnny D. Clover, 63, Billings.
Orman and two passengers in his vehicle, Tamalina R. McCall, 37, and Caillch Orman, 7, both of Republic, were treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
Two other passengers in the Orman vehicle, Faith Orman, 4, Republic, and Alivia B. Clover, 17, Billings, were treated for minor injuries at Cox South.
