A Springfield man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on I-44 four miles north of Republic.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2020 Ford Escape driven by Joseph M. Owens, 41, Springfield, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a concrete barrier, then traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail and then traveled off the left side of the road and struck another concrete barrier.
Owens was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield.
