An Eagle Rock man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 5:55 p.m. Wednesday on MO 86 one mile south of Eagle Rock.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1994 GMt-400 truck driven by James E. Riordan, 53, Eagle Rock, ran off the right side of the road, returned to the road, went into a skid, crossed the road, ran off the left side, hit an embankment and a tree and overturned.
Barry County Deputy Coroner Todd McCoy pronounced Riordan dead at 6:45 p.m.
The fatality was the 68th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
