An Ash Grove man and a Republic infant were killed in a two-vehicle accident 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on MO 96 six miles west of Miller.
According to the Highway Patrol report, 1983 Ford F250 driven by Wyatt Seelaus L. Cady, 32, Ash Grove, traveled off the roadway, overcorrected and struck a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Curtis M. Forrest, 31, Republic, head on.
Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin pronounced Cady and a passenger in the Forrest vehicle, a female baby, deceased at the scene at 9:15 p.m.
Forrest and another passenger in his vehicle, a 3-year-old boy, were airlifted to Mercy Springfield with serious injuries.
The fatalities were the 76th and 77th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
