(From the Aurora and Marionville Police Department)
Earlier today, AMPD was called to an address in Aurora in reference to a suicidal man armed with a knife and had the knife to his throat.Officers responded and found the man still armed with the knife. Using their skills in crisis management and de-escalation, the officers ultimately disarmed the man without injury to him or our staff. He was subsequently taken to a medical facility for a mental health evaluation.
