A Monett teen was injured after colliding with a train 8:12 p.m. Monday on Farm Road 1130, one mile southwest of Verona.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Spencer A. Crossland, 18, Monett, failed to yield to a Burlington Northern locomotive driven by Shaun M. Thimesch, 39, Ozark. The train hit the Crossland vehicle on the passenger side.
Crossland was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
