Springfield woman charged with DWI after three injured in three-vehicle accident

A Springfield woman was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a three-vehicle accident 1:45 p.m. today on U. S. 65 at Route C, four miles north of Springfield.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Christa M. Huffman, 23, Springfield, failed to yield to a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Donna L. Hossli, 76, Elkland, and a 2006 Honda CRV driven by Sylvia S. Klingner, 74, Fair Grove, and struck both vehicles.

Huffman was treated for serious injuries and Klingner for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Hossli was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Huffman was also cited for failure to yield and for not wearing a seat belt.
