A group of Parkview High School Alumni is concluding a year’s worth of activities commemorating the school’s 60th anniversary with two large events April 20 and 22, 2017.

The assembly will include a historical video, a presentation on “Parkview Firsts”, performing groups from various eras, a mayoral proclamation, and videos from PHS grads sending their best wishes and a leadership lesson to the current student body.

As part of the 60th celebration, the Endowment Building Team has secured donations for the Leadership Scholarship and Parkview Endowment Fund. To donate to either fund, visit the alumni website, www.parkviewalumni.org, www.parkview60th.org., or go directly to www.supportsps.org/donate. Simply follow this link and designate either the "Viking Endowment Fund" or "Parkview Leadership School Scholarship" in the box titled "designated donation."
Over the six decades since Parkview opened, 20,000 students count Parkview as their alma mater.
“We see this occasion as an opportunity not only to celebrate our history and successes over the years, but also to help the future of Parkview by providing needed funding for our Viking Endowment Fund and Leadership School Scholarship program,” explained alum Matt Hudson. “Our school has the unique reputation in Springfield and beyond of honoring our shared heritage in meaningful ways. This celebration has many parts to it: organizing events to celebrate this milestone, connecting the past with our future and seeing Parkview shine during its diamond anniversary!”
