On April 30, 2020, at 11:56 p.m., Springfield Police were dispatched to 2042 N. Jefferson regarding a male victim who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found the victim inside the home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The male victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he later died.
The victim was identified as Tyree M. Crenshaw, a 19-year-old male from Springfield. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim.
Officers arrested Terry L. Robinson, a 21-year-old male, for 2nd Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and Angelito Silva, a 20-year-old male, for Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both suspects live in Springfield.
Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869- TIPS (8477).
