The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas, Cherokee. In Missouri, Barry, Christian, Douglas, Howell, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Stone, and Taney. * Through Tuesday afternoon * Widespread rainfall amounts ranging from 1 to 2 inches are expected to occur over areas roughly along and near a line from Columbus, Kansas To West Plains, Missouri. * Several county and state low water crossings may become impassable. A few larger rivers could also exceed flood stage. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
