Two, including Cassville resident, killed in crash on 39

Two people were killed in a one-vehicle crash 1:30 a.m. today on MO 39, three miles north of Shell Knob.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Chrysler 300 driven by Everette A. Kritz, 27, Cassville, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned down an embankment and struck several trees.

Kritz was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:25 a.m.







A passenger, Jacob D. Morrell, 21, Springdale, Washington, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, where he was pronounced dead at 3:26 a.m.

The fatalities were the 57th and 58th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
