Flash flood watch issued for Springfield/Branson area

will occur over extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks
overnight.

Pockets of localized intense rainfall may produce flash flooding
in some areas.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Kansas and
  Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas,
  Cherokee and Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Christian,
  Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Laclede,
  Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk,
  Pulaski, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright.

* Until 7 AM CDT Monday

* Pockets of intense rainfall may produce flash flooding in areas
  of extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks overnight.
  If slow moving or training thunderstorms occur, then up to four
  inches of rain will be possible. Most locations will experience
  less than an inch, as the intense heavy rain will occur in
  localized areas.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
