Demolition of the Delaware Elementary facility, 1505 S. Delaware, began today to make way for the construction of a new building to serve the students in that community. The project is part of the bond that was approved by voters in April.
Delaware students will attend the 2019-2020 school year at the former Sherwood building, 1813 S. Scenic.
The original Delaware building was constructed in 1951. The new facility will serve up to 350 students.
