A Cassville woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident 9:43 a.m. today on U. S. 60, two miles west of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Chevrolet HHR driven by Jimmie P. Davidson, 79, Cassville, failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck in the side by a 1989 Chevrolet pickup driven by Perry C. Cantrell, 80, Springfield.
Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin pronounced Davidson dead at the scene at 10 a.m.
The fatality was the 35th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
